United Nations Security Council A Crisis Minutes

  • 12:04 am:
    • The Representatives of the Republic of Korea motions for a twenty minute moderated session, moderated by the Republic of Korea; which passes in a vote, The Republic of Korea has begun to lay out their working paper. The Russian Federation brings up the proposal of going over each clause, discussing and moving forward. After reviewing the clauses the Representatives of the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation agree to merge their two drafted working papers. The Representative of China brings up some concerns.
  • 12:22 am:
    • The Representative of the United States calls to attention the working paper they are spearheading. They wish to express their disappointment in the unwillingness of the United Nations to have a dialogue.
  • 12:32 am
    • The Representative of the Republic of Korea motions for a twenty minute moderated caucus, moderated by the Representative of the Republic of Korea. Throughout the moderated caucus the Security Council reviewed the Representative of the United States working paper. The Representative of China calls for clarification on the working paper.
  • 12:57 am
    • The Representative of the Russian Federation claims 10 million refugees are missing from the affected area. The Representatives within the Security Council continue to discuss The Representative of the United States’s working paper.
  • 1:15 am
    • The Representative of Denmark motions to suspend the meeting. During the suspension, The Representative Aryan Acoro of Sierra Leone calls attention to resolution SC A/5 Clause 3; which gives the RSF two strikes if they break the agreements set forth in the resolution. 
  • 2:00 am
    • A press release statement draft made by Denmark, China, and the United States has been finished, however, the Representative of the United States said, “…we do not want to release the statement with the language that the RFS is a terrorist organization until the Security Council has agreed to call the RFS a terrorist organization.”
  • 2:08 am
    • The Representative of the Republic of Korea motions for a consultative session. The Representative of the Russian Federation calls for the Representative of Greece to be a mediator to further communicate with the RSF. Throughout the consultative session the Representatives discuss the implementation of a ceasefire by introducing peacekeepers to the affected area.   
  • 2:28 am
    • The Representative of the Russian Federation states in a claim to the Security Council body, that the idea of having an election watched by the United Nations should be the last resort of the United Nations to get and gain movement to create peace. The Representative of Pakistan says that peace must be established before we try stronger response ideas.
  • 2:30 am
    • Collaboration within the Security Council leads to a working paper of terms for a ceasefire for the RFS and SAF to follow. The Security Council is hopeful for a peaceful resolution, and to make it a political resolution, not a violent resolution. 
  • 2:45 am
    • The Representative of Somalia motions to bring SC A/6 to the floor, followed by a motion to close debate of SC A/6 by the Representative of the Republic of Korea. The Resolution SC A/6 passed
  • 3:00
    • “14 million people are still in need of help,”  said to the Security Council by the Representative of the United Kingdom.
  • 3:07
    • The Representative of Somalia motions for the RSF to be brought to the Security Council.
