Scholarship Application

American Model United Nations is excited to offer a scholarship to attend our Conference for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). We recognize that Model United Nations programs can benefit every student, but can often be inaccessible. Our board created this scholarship to increase accessibility for schools that are often historically disadvantaged.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, your school must be considered a HBCU as defined by the United States Department of Education. To see the list as defined by the US Department of Education,
please click here. This scholarship only covers delegation and per delegate fees. It does not cover travel, hotel or meals. You must also bring at least 4 students to our conference to qualify for this scholarship.

Please answer the following questions that will help us get to know you and provide the best Model UN experience possible! We welcome any and all questions you may have. Should you have any questions regarding this application, please contact mail@amun.org.

If your school is accepted for this scholarship, you will not be charged the cost for delegation and per delegate fees. We will internally transfer the funds to cover your scholarship, so you do not need to worry about us transferring you money for you to pay for those fees.

If your school does not qualify for this scholarship as defined above, we still invite you to register for our conference. You can either attend in person or virtually. Please register here if you are still interested in attending our conference without the scholarship.
